Gas Fuel Gauge for Farmall / IH International 240 340 371056R91

Fits Farmall / IH Tractors:  240 340 Gas

This listing is for a Farmall / International 240, 340 Gas fuel gauge:

Replaces part numbers: 371056R91 and 371056R92. 

This  2" / 52mm diameter gauge has Yellow Zinc "Cad" Plating for corrosion resistance protection! Gauge also has mounting studs and bracket, rubber gasket seal for mounting flush to dash. It has a light feature included so owner has option to use or not to use! 

This is for a Rochester style gauge, Will not work with Stewart Warner sending unit (32 Ohm full to 244 Ohm empty)  I do have the Stewart Warner style fuel gauge in my store and it is available.                                                                                                                                                          

Please Note: General information:  

Before you buy this gauge and then install the fuel gauge: Get a good electrical manual for your machine from the manufacturer. You need to be 100% sure of your fuel gauge wiring circuit is 100% correct and whether or not the correct fuel tank sending unit is in the existing fuel tank. Examples: universal sending units with improper ohms and or wiring, custom units because original is no longer available, other models have different ohms. (a lot of things happen to these tractors in 60 years, I see it on the restorations that I do from time to time). I can not return so called 'defective' electrical fuel gauges to manufacturer that are hooked up incorrectly. I will only take gauge back if it has not been installed and you pay the shipping! Or if it is TRULY DEFECTIVE!! Most of the sales are without issues because proper installation has been followed. I am a 38 year ASE Master Tech myself and I run into a lot of splicing and rewiring of tractors from over the years. Also other different parts used from other models.*

From what I am being told and what I have found out on my own 240's, is that the gauge sending unit is not available for these. I have been informed that the gauge sending unit that will work for these 240's is purchased through local Case IH dealer. It is for a 444 or 2444 fuel tank and was part # 84270826. It cost about $60.00. Look it up on Case IH's website.  If you use this one keep in mind that one of the bolt holes is located off a little bit so it fits only one way when mounted. The 340 gas I am not sure of the gas tank sending unit! Maybe someone can tell me so I can update for others! Thanks!
