This tachometer and gauge set listing fits International 340 Diesel AND Farmall diesel tractors
The IH gauge numbers this set replaces are: 360053R91
362039R93 362177R92 369607R91 371243R93 371243R93
All gauges have Yellow Zinc "Cad" Plating for corrosion resistance protection! These gauges also have mounting studs and brackets, rubber gasket seal for mounting flush to dash. All gauges are 2" 52mm dash hole fitment. They also have a 12 volt light feature included so owner has option to use or not to use!
Tachometer:
International p/n it replaces is: 371243R93.
This tachometer assembly has a 5/8" UNF cable end. Tachometer also comes with light feature option! You can use or choose not to! The diameter is 3 3/8" (85mm).
Temperature gauge: is measured in 3 zones. Black face with white lettering and colored zones to gauge temperature. Water temp gauge includes a 72" spring covered capillary lead. 5/8-18 U.F. END W/ 1/2" NPT PIPE BUSHING
Amp meter: gauge replaces 360053R91 gauge. This is 2" / 52mm diameter
Oil pressure gauge: replaces 362039R91, 362177R92 gauge and also has a 1/8" NPT male fitting and 0 - 45 PSI, This is 2" / 52mm diameter
Fuel gauge: is for a Farmall / International 340 Diesel, and it replaces part number 369607R91.
This is 2" / 52mm diameter. This is for a Rochester style gauge, 12 volt negative ground, 0-70 Ohm's. Will not work with Stewart Warner sending unit (32 Ohm full to 244 Ohm empty)
Before you buy this gauge and then install the fuel gauge: Get a good electrical manual for your machine from the manufacture. You need to be 100% sure of your fuel gauge wiring circuit is 100% correct! and whether or not the correct sending unit is in the existing fuel tank examples: universal sending unit with improper ohms and or wiring, custom units because original is no longer available, other manufactures have different ohms. (a lot of things happen to these tractors in 60 years.
The gauge and sending unit need to have correct ohm values for each other to work. Diesels and gas will interchange but have different ohms. Check sending units first. Wiring questions are also a big concern. They are different also between models even diesel are usually negative grounds. Gas are usually positive grounds. Except for T 340 Diesel I think is positive ground. Then voltage regulators are to be changed to positive or negative ect. Talk to your technician! Here is the link I use for some wiring diag comparisons: https://cngco.com/wiring_diagrams/IH%20140-330-240-340.pdf
The sending unit needs to have a additional ground wire that grounds sending unit to engine ground and gauge bottom center lug! Due to fuel tank mounted on rubber grommets and some painted surfaces! Otherwise gauge will not work! Some wiring harnesses do not come with the ground wires. I have seen problems with this ground system!
I see it on the restorations that I do from time to time). I can not return so called defective electrical units to manufacture that are hooked up incorrectly. I will only take gauge back if it has not been installed and you pay the shipping! Or If it is TRULY DEFECTIVE!! Most of the sales are without issues because proper installation has been followed. I am a 36 year ASE Master Tech myself and I run into a lot of splicing and rewiring of tractors that we service and restore. Also other different parts used from other models.
Gauge works with 12 or 6 volts!
If you need 6 volt light bulbs let me know at time when you pay.
